Analysis of China’s food machinery industry

1. Combining with the characteristics of regional layout, promoting the overall coordinated development

China has vast resources and great regional differences in natural, geographical, agricultural, economic and social conditions. Comprehensive agricultural regionalization and thematic zoning have been formulated for agriculture. Agricultural mechanization has also put forward national, provincial (city, autonomous region) and more than 1000 county-level divisions. In order to study the development strategy of food and packaging machinery in line with China’s national conditions, it is necessary to study the regional differences affecting the number and variety development of food machinery, and study and formulate food machinery division. In terms of quantity, in North China and the lower reaches of the Yangtze River, except sugar, other foods can be transferred out; on the contrary, in South China, except sugar, other foods need to be imported and refrigerated, and the pastoral areas need mechanical equipment such as slaughtering, transportation, refrigeration and shearing. How to objectively describe the long-term development trend of food and packaging machinery, estimate the quantity and variety of demand, and reasonably carry out the layout of food processing and food machinery production enterprises is a strategic technical and economic topic worthy of serious study. The research on food machinery division, system and reasonable preparation is the basic technical work for the research.

2. Actively introduce technology and enhance the ability of independent development

The digestion and absorption of the introduced technology should be based on improving the ability of independent development and manufacturing. We should learn from the experience and lessons learned from the work of absorbing and digesting the imported technologies in the 1980s. In the future, the imported technologies should be closely combined with the needs of the market and the development trend of international technologies, with the introduction of new technologies as the main and design and manufacturing technologies as the supplement. The introduction of technology should be combined with technical research and experimental research, and sufficient funds should be allocated for digestion and absorption. Through technical research and experimental research, we should really master foreign advanced technology and design ideas, design methods, testing methods, key design data, manufacturing technology and other technical know-how, and gradually form the ability of independent development and improvement and innovation.

3. Establish test center, strengthen basic and applied research

The development of food and packaging machinery in industrial developed countries is based on extensive experimental research. In order to achieve the development goal of the industry in 2010 and lay a foundation for future development, we must attach importance to the construction of experimental bases. Due to historical reasons, the research strength and experimental means of this industry are not only very weak and scattered, but also not fully utilized. We should organize the existing experimental research forces through investigation, organization and coordination, and carry out reasonable division of labor.

4. Making bold use of foreign capital and speeding up the pace of enterprise transformation

Due to the late start, poor foundation, weak accumulation and repayment of loans, China’s food and packaging machinery enterprises can’t develop without money, and they can’t digest the loans. Due to the limited national financial resources, it is difficult to invest a large amount of funds to carry out large-scale technological transformation. Therefore, the technological progress of enterprises is seriously restricted and stagnated at the original level for a long time. In the past ten years, the situation has not changed greatly, so it is very important to use foreign capital to transform the original enterprises.

5. Actively develop large enterprise groups

China’s food and packaging enterprises are mostly small and medium-sized enterprises, lack of technical strength, lack of self-development ability, difficult to achieve technology intensive scale production, difficult to meet the ever-changing market demand. Therefore, China’s food and packaging machinery should take the road of enterprise group, break some boundaries, organize different types of enterprise groups, research institutes and universities, strengthen the combination with enterprises, enter enterprise groups if conditions permit, and become the development center and personnel training base of enterprise groups. According to the characteristics of the industry, the relevant government departments should take flexible measures to support the rapid development of enterprise groups in the industry.
